New information services
One of the spearheads in the strategy of ProRail is "value creation". The Director Rail Development has commissioned to deliver three promising new mini-business cases for new information services for the BtB market in the Netherlands, because the chance of successful implementation for this segment is the greatest. Target groups are the current customers of ProRail, the customers of their customers (travellers) and other stakeholders, such as passenger carriers, freight carriers, shippers and concession-granting authorities. The project will focus on rail-based content and information. The new mini-business cases to be developed have to meet the following 3 conditions:
• Contribute to raising customer satisfaction to an eight on a scale of ten.
• The launch will take place in 2010.
• The activities fit within the policies of ProRail and the allowable limits from the shareholder.

The FORTH innovation project was a special journey. For the whole team it was a great experience who has brought not only four concrete new service concepts but also a unique chance to collaborate intenively with other departments. The tight schedule, combined with stimulating creative sessions, worked extremely motivating. The opinion of the customers that we were to speak, was enlightening and sometimes confrontational. Their comments have greatly contributed to the hight quality of the concepts. Three of the four concepts are being realized at this moment.
