New agricultural labor concepts

Cooperative AB Oost has nearly 5000 people every day at work inside and outside agriculture. To continue to be an appropriate partner in the provision of temporary and permanent employment for the agricultural market, connecting to large customers in the top of the agricultural market is essential.
 
The challenge is to develop new or improved products, in terms of employment (in the broadest sense) for top agricultural clients in our area. The (re) new (ed) products should have a sales potential for each product of € 2.5 million per year, three years after the introduction, and of a profit margin of 5% of turnover. Ideally, these new products connect well with those things AB Oost currently does well.

For almost fifty years, AB Oost iss a respected partner for farmers in the eastern of the Netherlands. But past successes ..., indeed, are no guarantee for future results. Therefore, in 2008 we started a FORTH innovation project to develop new products appealing to large farmers. This is a great success. The strength of the FORTH method is that, however logical it may sound, the friction of the customer is taken as the starting point. First you fully explore, then you brainstorm. At various times during FORTH farmers were involved in the innovation project. Another aspect is that FORTH helped the participants to translate their ideas in a systematic way into a very pravtical mini new business case. FORTH gave us a boost in Agro. Since the completion of FORTH-Agro we act with renewed commitment towards large agricultural entrepreneurs to meet their needs with relevant concepts.
