Center of the Arts VAK innovates with FORTH
Datum: 9-9-2009
At the VAK, the center for the arts in Delft, hundreds of courses in all arts disciplinesare facilitated. Short courses, long courses for all ages. The market for education in arts is rapidly changing. The VAK is aiming to be less financially dependent on municipal funding and to improve the relationship between costs and revenues over the next three years significantly. The VAK sees opportunities in other groups (eg the target group 50 +), other disciplines and other product forms.
On September 10th 2009, the kick-off took place for the FORTH innovation project to create new educational products and services concerning the arts (in the broad sense). The challenge is to develop five new products which, from the 2010/2011 season can be put into the market. Gijs van Wulfen facilitates the FORTH methodology and Wilma Franchimon is the internal projectleader for the VAK.
With a core team of five people and additonal crew (in each of the five stages) it promises to become another fascinating journey.
