Second edition of Nieuwe Producten Bedenken

In May 2006 the first edition appeared of Nieuwe Producten Bedenken (Creating New Products).
Why three years later a new edition? Especially in a recession organizations realize more than ever that they have to distinguish themselves with appealing products and services: "We need to innovate". Innovation is more topical than ever. Moreover, the FORTH innovation method has over the last three years been frequently applied by many others and myself. Unive VGZ IZA Trias, a major Dutch insurance company uses FORTH as their regular innovation method for the front end of innovation. And every time I facilitate a FORTH project I often learn something new again. With which I can improve the method. Therefore it was time for adding the "best practices" of recent years in a new edition. The experienced FORTH facilitator will find that the methodology is slightly adapted here and there. The convergence approach in the 'Raise Ideas' phase is greatly improved, for example! It are the final percentages of your effort that make the difference, I believe.
Furthermore, I give attention to the techniques now available online that you can use to discover, develop and reflect. At the request of readers I have now added a concrete application of the FORTH method. This practical FORTH case has resulted in the launch of 'Driving Green' by Univé. The widely used attachments from the first edition have been expanded. The first annex is about the ten FORTH innovatiefacilitators that have been trained and certified in recent years. In annex two are now no less than thirty brainstorming techniques presented. And besides the updated list of 75 specific brainstorm locations in the Netherlands, now 50 places in Belgium are included.
