Public health organisations innovate
Datum: 12-2-2011In these times of cutbacks GGD West Brabant, one of the municipal health organisations in the Netherlands, strives to innovate. "We want to keep GGD alligned with what society demands of us. The future brings new questions and that implies new solutions we have to offer, "said Eveline Van Eck. She Innovation Projectleader.
To promote innovation the GGD starts three programs:
* "GGD Next"focused on the future of the Public Health Service;
* "New alliances and new markets" for unexpected partners and new target groups to be identified;
* "Experiments in the workplace" to solve practical problems at the place of work.
Together with the management, Eveline started the Innovation Team "GGD Next". THe team consists of professionals, managers, directors and major stakeholders. This innovation team will create in 20 weeks a vision and devise new concepts for the Public Health Service, according to the FORTH-innovation method. "TIt will not only create 3 mini new business cases and a vision. It also has a significant stimulatory effect on the innovativeness of people, "says Van Eck.
